TrailFox Privacy Policy

TrailFox ("the app") is published by OakFox ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. TrailFox is designed to be used by parents and carers to plan and enjoy outdoor nature activities with their children.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and an authentication identifier. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
• Content you add. If you add photos (for example to a child profile or journal), those images are stored in Google Firebase Storage and associated with your account.
• Activity data you create. Information you enter in the app, such as child profiles and saved or journaled activities, is stored against your account so it is available across your devices.
• Purchase information. When you buy an activity pack, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We receive a record that the purchase occurred (which pack, and your purchase status) so we can unlock content. We never receive your full card details.
• Device identifiers. RevenueCat and the app store assign identifiers used to link a purchase to your account and to restore purchases.

What we do NOT do

• We do not show third-party advertising.
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
• We do not sell your personal information.

How we use your information

• To create and secure your account.
• To save your content and sync it across your devices.
• To process purchases and restore previously purchased packs.
• To respond to support requests.

Service providers

We share information only with the providers needed to run the app:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Storage) — account, content and activity data.
• RevenueCat — purchase management.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy and security terms.

Children's privacy

TrailFox is intended to be set up and operated by an adult (a parent or carer). Accounts are created by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Family → Delete account), which removes your account and associated content from our systems. You can also request deletion by email.
